So with the small kids otoshidama deposited again I was thinking it was time to do something with their cash that’s just sitting there.
My wife and I are currently investing for them inside our own Nisa:s and I know there’s a new kodomo nisa coming next year.
The wife feels a bit uncomfortable to put their cash in the market so I while the rates are pitiful here I would at least like to put it in fixed savings accounts since they won’t use them now anyways. At least for one year until the kodomo nisa arrives.
But I not quite sure how it works here in Japan perhaps it depends on the bank and account. How often does the rate compound? Monthly or yearly? I just want it to reinvest and build interest on the interest.
What should I be looking for?
Anyone using IBKR has experienced a delay with dividend payment?
The pay date is showing as today, but I haven’t received anything. It’s 2558.T ETF.
