Anyone know the lore/ experienced going to A.B.C cafe in Uji?

I used to work in Uji and thought about visiting the cafe until I saw all the negative reviews mostly from non-Japanese people – how they turn away tourists, despite all their signage inside being in English (you can see it from outside) , if you're not turned away you'll be charged a lot as their english menu doesn't show prices.

This has been going on since at least 2015 according to reviews, so not something new – as if they are the OG overpricing tourists in the area cafe . They do a few negative reviews from Japanese tourists too but I've always wondered how they'd react to a Japanese speaking resident , any one has a story to tell? I recommend reading their reviews on google maps, their responses are pretty funny, and telling of their character.
