I 46f am planning a trip to Kyoto for this time next year. I have several tattoos one on each wrist and forearm which are flowers, butterflies on one side in soft colors and the other side is 2 black line drawings of a small sheep and a sleeping dog. I also have a larger tattoo on my right arm at the top of 2koi with cherry blossom so nothing offensive or could be construed as such.
My question is how fussy about tattoos are the Japanese? The time of year means they will likely be covered or barely visible when out and about as i will be wearing long sleeves but will I be stopped from going in public baths etc?
