Immigration these days taking so long, applied for renewal in August for my son's card expiring in Feb (long term) and literally the hagaki just came.
I also applied for my baby's COE and hers is not out yet.
Originally planned to do a single trip with 2 kids in Feb to get the new card and also enter with my baby. Financially cannot do 2 trips just to get my son's card in Feb and then enter again with my baby when it's out. Willing to wait until March hopefully baby's COE and visa come out.
I understand with the "renewal application" stamp on the residence card, the card is valid for 2 more months.
Has anyone successfully entered Japan with a card during the grace period?
