Hi! I’ve been living here for a few months now and back in America I loved going to cosplay events and meeting people and I’ve thought about doing it here in Japan too but I’m not sure what people’s experiences with them have been like as foreigners. I’m plus sized by American standards so that’s honestly what I’m the most nervous about. I know the general rules with cosplay like don’t come or leave in costume, cosplay is not consent, don’t take photos without asking, etc, and I’m pretty decent with my Japanese language skills, but is there anything else I should note if I decide to go?
