Name update on zairyu card based on passport reissued under new name

I have found similar questions but in cases of marriage mostly. So I wanted to ask that is there anyone who has changed their name on zairyu card based on passport reissued under new name ? What was the process like at the city hall, was it too much hassle ? Or they simply updated details based on the passport ?

I should mention that I am getting the passport reissued through my home country’s embassy in Japan.
