I live in a condominium building. Several of my neighbors, probably 30%, have white styrofoam coolers outside of their doors. I am pretty sure the coolers are for food delivery from one of the coops. I have seen 2 or 3 different coop companies. I'm not certain I want to join a coop yet, but I have found that buying certain groceries on Amazon saves me both money and time. This includes bulk cheese and meat. However, for anything that has to be refrigerated or frozen, Amazon won't leave the package outside the door. Doordash saves time, and works great when I'm sick, which happened twice this winter.
With Amazon, I've missed deliveries because i wasn't home. With Doordash, if I'm sick, I would rather not expose myself the the driver. I'm wondering if anyone has tried putting a cooler outside the door for Amazon to deliver into? How about Doordash? ChatGPT recommends I put a sign on the lid assuring that it is for Amazon/Door Dash food delivery and is unlocked, plus update delivery instructions. This makes sense and sounds like it would increase compliance with my wishes, but I don't know if it will really work for Amazon, and I don't want to trust AI to go ahead and buy a cooler.
I appreciate all thoughts and personal experience!
