When I visited Tokyo and Kyoto in December, I was surprised to see cherry trees blossoming in several spots. I believe the first and last pictures here are 'fuyuzakura' and the middle picture is formosan cherry (though if anybody can ID it more definitely I am all ears!)
The first two photos were taken at the Kyoto Botanical Garden with my Nikon Z6ii; the last photo was in Ueno Park with my Pixel 8 Pro.
