I was using yourei.jp but it seems to be down for quite some time. Being able to see a word in context is extremely helpful.
jisho.org, akebi or takoboto don't have examples for some words that are not extremely common.

Try jpdb.io too, it has more example sentences
I usually used alc.co.jp for that, but you have to pay now to search sentences unfortunately.
https://ejje.weblio.jp/ is probably also worth a try.
Both sites are for Japanese people learning English btw.
I really enjoy https://www.immersionkit.com/ personally 🙂 But if you just google the word, you can usually find someone using it in a sentence. I usually look through the pictures first to find someone talking about that word in particular, but that’s better for nouns.
The oldest and most widely used corpus is https://tatoeba.org/en/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatoeba
Or search a word on jisho.org with “#sentence” after it.
