Miyakojima Beaches

I am planning to go to Miyakojima this july, but i worry about the animals there, since i am very scared of the sea life and especially sea snakes (i know that the sea snakes might not harm you, but i even dont want to see them) So as a backup:

1.Are there beaches that have a net? I cant find anything on the internet, only the panagama beach

  1. How high is the chance that a sea snake, stone fish, etc. is in the area with net

and also

  1. Are there beaches that offer loungers and parasols?

  2. Can you recommend stayibg in the centre of the island?

Thank you!

  1. Sea snakes are crazy common here.

I’m not sure why’d you be afraid of a stone fish though. They’re an ambush predator. They just sit there. wear water shoes

  2. There are no nets, and they wouldn’t block a sea snake anyway. Fortunately the snakes are docile and won’t bother you if you don’t bother them.

The box jellyfish can be a hazard. It’s good to wear a rash and pack some vinegar.

Still, in the big scheme of things, there’s nothing to fear but fear itself.

  3. 1. Wear water shoes. That’ll protect against stonefish and cone snails

    2. No need to worry about sea snakes. They’re just vibin’. Just stay still if one comes near you and you’ll be all good
