Two extra shinkansen runs on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line between Tokyo and Tsuruga in Fukui Prefecture will operate on Friday, with one departing Tokyo at 12:44 p.m. and the other leaving Tsuruga at 10:53 a.m., JR East and JR West said.
Flight delays and cancellations are expected on Friday at airports in prefectures neighboring Fukui, including Ishikawa and Toyama, according to Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways.
