Hello! Like the title says, I’d like some input on which of these two hotels to stay at based on their location, if anybody has any. I’ll be in Tokyo for 7 days, and my activities are largely spread out around Tokyo, particularly around and within the loop between Shibuya and Ueno. My primary goal is to pick a hotel with a great location. I’d like to be within a 7 minute walk from a station on the Yamanote line, and additional easy-access lines would be a plus. I’d also like to be in an area with lots of good food and shopping. I’m not a drinker, so I’m not needing clubs or bars. Currently, I’m trying to pick between staying in Shibuya or Shimbashi:
CANDEO hotels Tokyo Shimbashi
JR-East hotel Mets Shibuya
It’ll be my first time in Japan, so I’m not sure if Shibuya station will be too overwhelming and hard to navigate as I know it gets very busy. I’ve looked at so many different hotels and locations, but haven’t been able to decide between these two, as they both seem to be good spots, though very different. I’d love some insight on this because I’m struggling to pick, especially since both hotels seem to be well reviewed and the actual rooms themselves don’t matter as much to me.
