Blue Justice XVII Results

I didn't see this posted, so I thought I'd take it for the team today.

(I will also apologize in advance if this isn't as good as EffingKenta's usual result posts, but I will try my best).

AFAIK: There's only Japanese commentary so far.

Ichiban Sweet Boy's (Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles) def. Tiger Mask & Zane Jay – 7:55 / Reverse Boston Crab

  • Zane is wearing his new shirt during his entrance.
  • Kosei Fujita is sticking with his new theme.
  • Zane and Eagles start.
  • I just remembered that Eagles and Tiger used to be a tag team back a couple years ago.
  • A fairly entertaining preview match, Zane had some good offense, Tiger looked alright too. ISB are always good.
  • Just a reminder: Tiger Mask is retiring in June, so this could possibly be his last Blue Justice event if there isn't another one between February-June.
  • Post match, Tiger has words with both of the Junior tag champs, Robbie briefly chats with Zane, but nothing further.
  • Upcoming matches: ISB vs House of Torture (Jan. 20th)

Unbound Co. (Daiki Nagai, Oskar & Yuto-Ice) def. Master Wato, Katsuya Murashima & YOH – 9:55 / Nightmare (a sleeper hold)

  • Murashima, same as Zane, enters wearing his new shirt. This will most likely happen with all the Young Lion's going forward.
  • I stand corrected. Nagai is not wearing his new shirt.
  • Pre-Match, Nagai and Murashima butt head's briefly before starting.
  • Once tagged in, Wato tries doing push ups to hype himself up against Oskar Spoiler: It didn't work for him.
  • This was fine. Murashima got a pretty good showing, and even locked in a Boston Crab on Oskar.
  • Post-match: Nagai and KOB have a new LIJ-Esque air fist bump before leaving.
  • Upcoming matches: Knockout Brothers vs Winner of Taichi/Ishii vs Yuya/Shota (Feb. 11th)

House of Torture (Douki, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) def. El Desperado, Ryuske Taguchi & Masatora Yasuda – 8:51 / Figure Four Leglock

  • Yasuda enters wearing his new shirt.
  • Douki's entrance gear & mask kind of reminds me of Darth Vader for some reason.
  • Usual SHO promo prior to the bell starting.
  • The House attacks the faces as soon as SHO finishes his promo.
  • We start with Taguchi and SHO as the legal men.
  • Despe and Taguchi are motioning for a train of running back elbows to SHO in the corner.
  • Desperado gets Yasuda to whip Taguchi to SHO in the corner, but SHO dodges, leading to the House taking over.
  • Poor Taguchi gets crotched on the post and the guard rail on the outside.
  • Douki tries to unmask Desperado at one point, but fails.
  • Regular H.O.T match.
  • Post match: Douki once again tries to unmask Despe, only for Despe to get pissed and drag chairs out from under the ring, but the House bails shortly after.
  • Upcoming Matches: Douki vs El Desperado (Jan. 20th), H.O.T vs ISB (Jan. 20th)

TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr.) def. Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi) & Tatsuya Matsumoto – 9:30 / Death Valley Bomb

  • Matsumoto enters with his new shirt.
  • Goto and Oiwa start.
  • AFAIK, Oiwa has some new white gear, and I like it.
  • This was fine, however you could tell that they were slightly holding back for the title match tomorrow.
  • Bishamon tried doing a double Drop Toe Hold on Hartley, but he was too strong, so Matsumoto hits Hartley from behind, causing him to crush Oiwa.
  • Matsumoto surprisingly body slammed Hartley, and I am a firm believer that Matsumoto and Murashima will be a monster tag team.
  • During the finish, Matsumoto looked like he nearly landed on his head.
  • Post-Match: Goto and Yoshi briefly talk with TMDK, who's sitting on the apron and posing before both teams leave.
  • Upcoming Matches: TMDK vs Boltin Oleg & Bishamon (Jan. 19th)

Team 150 (Satoshi Kojima, Taichi & Tomohiro Ishii) def. Shoma Kato, Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura – 10:28 / Dangerous Backdrop

  • Kato opts not to wear his new shirt during his entrance and joins Nagai as the only 2 YL's not to wear their new shirts today.
  • Umino and Ishii start.
  • I don't know if it's just me, but I find Umino's new ring gear is horrendous.
  • This was a very aggressive match, and it was everything I expected it to be. Very good match for a preview tag.
  • Side note: I think Kato has to be my second favorite Young Lion just under Daiki Nagai.
  • Post Match: Taichi and Umino share some words before joining Yuya on the floor, and a brief stare down between tomorrow's main event competitors.
  • Upcoming Matches: Ishii/Taichi vs Yuya/Shota (Jan. 19th), winner of bout on Jan. 19th vs KOB (Feb. 11th)

United Empire (Callum Newman, Fransesco Akira, Great-O-Khan, Jake Lee & Jakob Austin Young) def. Unbound Co. (Gedo, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi, Taiji Ishimori & Yota Tsuji) – 15:03 / Imperial Prison (A sideways Cloverleaf)

  • JAY has some new entrance music.
  • Lee now only has a little beard. It's downright a crime.
  • The Empire waited for each other at the entrance, similar to how LIJ used to do their entrances.
  • Hiromu is still weirdly in love with Gedo's beard.
  • It's still very weird to see the remnants of LIJ and Bullet Club together.
  • A bit of applause for Shingo prior to the bell for Shingo's marriage to Natsupoi.
  • They do the LIJ-Esque fist bump.
  • Tsuji starts with Lee and kicks him in the head before attacking the rest of the Empire.
  • A brawl ensues on the floor while Hiromu and Newman are the legal men.
  • Akira has a more aggressive side to him now.
  • Lee puts a rubber glove on and starts pulling around Hiromu's mouth then pulls the gloe off and threatens to throw it out to the crowd, but psyches them out and tosses it on the ground.
  • I don't know what Natsupoi did to Shingo, but holy fuck Shingo was moving like he had something to prove today.
  • My personal match of the night, as this was very fun and everyone got their time to shine.
  • Post-Match: Lee hit's Tsuji with the Face Break Shot and takes the IWGP Heavyweight title and drops it on Tsuji before dancing and heading to the back. Tsuji tried his best not to break character, but I saw him smiling while selling.
  • Upcoming Matches (Not Yet Confirmed): Yota Tsuji vs Jake Lee, Fransesco Akira/X vs Hiromu Takahashi/Taiji Ishimori, Callum Newman vs David Finlay, Henare/O-Khan vs Drilla/Shingo

Main Event: Aaron Wolf, Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano & Yuji Nagata def. House of Torture (Dick Togo, EVIL, Ren Narita & Yujiro Takahashi) – 12:38 / Reverse Triangle

  • The Faces enter to Nagata's music.
  • The Never Openweight title is still spray painted gold.
  • H.O.T attacks before the bell and single out Nagata in the ring.
  • Nagata fight's off all four members alone, and we officially start with Nagata and EVIL.
  • The House mocks Nagata by climbing the turnbuckles and hitting his signature pose.
  • EVIL rings the bell and announces that House of Torture won, but Red Shoes has none of it.
  • Our president and now retired Ace, Hiroshi Tanahashi is sitting ringside.
  • Boltin tries to stack Narita and Yujiro on his shoulder's, but it got a bit messed up.
  • Wolf looked pretty good here, much sharper then he did at the Dome, but that could've been pressure of wrestling in front of 50K people.
  • A couple miscues happened in the match.
  • Dick 2 Dick, ref bump and low blows happen and the regular shenanigans continue.
  • Two Dick-2-Dick combat's happened, one on Wolf and one on Nagata.
  • The finish sees Nagata trap Narita in the Nagata lock while Wolf makes Togo tap to the reverse triangle he used against EVIL back at the Dome.
  • Post-Match: The faces celebrate and cut a promo, in which Tenzan is called in the ring for. After that, they do fanservice to end the show. (I don't know Japanese, and they don't have English commentary right now, so I'd wait for the backstage comments to have English subtitles).
