I started to look for apartment unit to rent. I currently live in Sakuragicho area in Yokohama. Currently paying 3LDK -¥170,000. I want to move to Tokyo for various reasons.
I started looking for similar style that I like but I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for (¥240,000 I increased it since it’s Tokyo).
The problem I find and what I also find funny is that people in Japan value privacy but inside the house, privacy goes out of the window.
I mean what do you mean, you get a sliding door with spaces around for other people in other room to hear you? There is no privacy! If you’re going to say it’s 3LDK then make sure it’s a room with a door and not those sliding doors that can open up more rooms and we can hear each other talk.
I just find it funny.
