In her short tenure, Takaichi has mostly targeted resident foreigners and has done literally nothing to tackle the elephant in the room, the inflation, economy, security, aging population and even done nothing to tackle the problem of over tourism. But she has done a lot of PR against the resident foreigners which was not the issue with the Japanese public in the first place. So, I really wonder why opinion polls say she is gonna be victorious? Are the Japanese voters misguided or are there other issues that we don't know of that Takaichi is promissing?
