Hello everyone, first time poster here. I came to japan as a Software Engineer 13 months ago.
Landed a better job at a large company and started it this month, had to move too because my previous apartment was company housing (they used to pay for utilities and my phone too).
3 weeks ago, I applied for a Recruit JCB card and got immediately rejected for some reason.
Today, I got rejected from EPOS Gold after getting referred to it by a relative. (Both of those applications were not accepting my full name in the english alphabet, just truncated version of the katakana)
I'm not sure what to do here as I need them to pay for my bills. I don't wanna have to deal with the pain of paying for my bajillion utilities one by one or go through all that Japanese only paperwork to set up direct debit with my bank.
Are my chances for getting accepted for a credit card before the end of the month practically zero now? LLMs keep saying that. If not, which card should I go for?
Thanks.
