Camellia is a local Kyoto company looking for part time members of staff to help in our 2 teahouses and kimono studio on Ninenzaka (on the east side of the city).
On March 5th our new teahouse will be opening and we are looking for enthusiastic people to join our friendly teams.
Applicants should have a valid work visa, and should be able to speak English and some conversational Japanese. No knowledge of tea ceremony or kimono dressing is necessary, but an interest in Japanese culture is very important.
Work hours are from 9am-6pm. Ideally we are looking for applicants that can commit to a regular number of days each month (even if this is only one day per week). As there is currently more availability for work during weekdays, these roles might suit those with a dependent visa or working holiday visa.
Positions are available for both sexes, but for roles within the kimono studio we are mostly looking for women as occasionally you will be assisting the dressers in dressing guests.
If you are interested, or have any questions, please contact us at [applications@camelliakyoto.com](mailto:applications@camelliakyoto.com) (if you have a CV then please include this).
