Just had an 80 year old Japanese man come up to me and ask "what my mission is" in pretty much fluent English. I said I work here, and he proceeded to tell me that capitalism is terrorism, and I'm a terrorist and I should go back to my country (I'm from France…), and that I'm an idiot and a moron for coming here. Kind of shocked, I understand this is like 0.0001% of the population, but didn't expect outright aggression from a native while I'm at a shrine. He followed me for a while repeating that I should leave the country, and it was better when there were less women here. Is this guy known to the population or am I just very unlucky?
