Just genuinely curious when approaching someone…

There was this non-japanese looking woman taking a picture of bullet train with her arms over the bar(that metal looking thingy that act as a barrier over the bullet train)

And there was this announcement that kept saying "person on lane 9 please refrain from exposing your arm over the bar. Take a picture from behind the bar" But in Japanese over and over.

She obviously didnt understand as she kept doing it while the announcement were blaring.

I was also in a hurry since the bullet train that is coming on the same lane was mine, and since she was on my way anyway(mine is lane 5 walking from 11 in a fast walk) I thought id be a good guy and maybe tell her quickly. I tapped her shoulder, telling her the announcement is talking about you. Take a picture from behind the bar with hand gesture and everything.

She still didnt listen… as she didnt retracted her arm.

Maybe English was not her first language, just showed a surprised expression like I have violated her.

But while im on my train writing this, maybe I should have approached her better, in a more different way, maybe me tapping her shoulder was rude.

I just wanna hear your opinion If maybe my action was unacceptable? or was it an exception given the circumstances?
