Is my house maker bs’ing me ?

Good day all!

We built a house with a maker I won’t name (yet), but it’s one of the big name. which construction started in March 2025, completed in July 2025.

We paid the option for the best insulation they had.

We paid option for triple glazed windows.

However, now, I feel air coming from the sash, where the two sliding windows meet, and dust from outside is accumulating.

Also, a 1mm wide gap between wall and the sash is forming, and I can feel air.

I contacted the house maker sharing the picture and my concern about air coming in.

The answer is:

I checked with the sash manufacturer, and they told me that

Sliding sashes are designed to open and close by sliding the sliding screen along the rail, so they're not completely sealed and have a slight gap. Therefore, it seems that wind, rain, and dust can blow in through the gap during strong winds.

Also, triple-glazed sashes have the same rail structure as regular sashes, so they can also be blown in through the gap.

Also, regarding the gap between the window frame and the wallpaper, the wallpaper can shrink over time, creating a gap. Considering the building structure and construction procedures, we're designed to prevent dust and sand from blowing in through this area, so please rest assured.

That's all for now, but please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your continued support.

Translation:

Upon confirming with the window manufacturer,

we learned that sliding sash windows are designed to open and close by sliding the sash along the rail. This design does not provide a complete seal, leaving a slight gap., during strong winds, wind, rain, and dust may blow in through this gap.

Furthermore, even triple-pane glass windows share the same rail construction as standard sash windows. Therefore, wind blowing in through the gap is equally possible.

Regarding gaps between window frames and wallpaper, wallpaper may shrink over time, creating gaps. However, considering the building structure and construction methods, these gaps are fundamentally designed to prevent sand, dust, or similar particles from entering. Please rest assured on this point.

This concludes our response. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel Please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to continuing to serve you.

I really feel like paying millions for triple glazed windows means I should actually get better than this.
