I'm in Japan under the J-Find visa and am considering the business opportunity of making a poker room in Japan. Similar to established places like KK, GGPL, etc. Essentially non-gambling and legally compliant in the eyes of the law. No cash prizes (only using Web Coin sysem which is points you can win that can domestically only be used to buy into other tournaments in Japan, which makes it a closed cycle domestically), no host-club behavior, open until midnight, some alcohol served on the side. Tournaments only.
I'm finding mixed information about how immigration views a 5号営業 (which is the category for amusement rooms, arcade, and poker rooms using game-like equipment that may stimulate 'gambling excitement').
Does anyone have any experience in this area and can offer insights?
