I'm on a visa that allows me to do any job I want or no job at all- working holiday visa (within reason, obviously no kabukicho activities).
so I've been mostly coasting off savings from before I arrived, and adventuring around the country.
I started a YouTube channel for fun and to show my friends back home my adventures , that is now monetized, making it a source of income.
I want to make sure I'm not doing anything illegal, by properly paying my taxes. would I need to consult with an immigration lawyer for this or an accountant ? I already have my visa (valid for 2 years), I just need to figure out the income/tax situation, preferably before my first paycheque that is remitted next month.
I just need to figure out the proper steps and in what order (do I have to register a business? how much to set aside? when/where/how do I even pay the taxes?) so I need to be pointed in the proper direction on which service I can pay for to guide me through this so that it's done properly.
cheers.
