  1. I came across the word 使い古す and I was looking at some example sentence and I found these:
    使い古したタオルで顔を拭った。
    肩には使い古された白いマントが揺れている。
    From what I gathered from both sentences, it seems to me that the normal form and passive form work the same way. If that is the case, does that mean that both of them are interchangeable?

  2. What is the difference between using の and が in expressions like these?

    気品がある人・気品のある人

    気性が荒っぽい人・気性の荒っぽい人

  3. Is this the correct usages of “na” to connect adjective to a noun?

  4. I was trying to look up this part in the moving 玉音放送:

    爾臣民ノ衷情モ朕善ク之ヲ知ル

    然レドモ朕ハ時運ノ趨ク所

    堪へ難キヲ堪へ忍ビ難キヲ忍ビ

    以テ万世ノ為ニ太平ヲ開カムト欲ス

    I saw from [here](https://japanese.stackexchange.com/questions/16225/what-is-the-difference-between-%e7%be%8e%e3%81%97%e3%81%8d-and-%e9%ba%97%e3%81%97%e3%81%8d/16228#16228) that the キ is the adnominal ending, but in the sentence 堪へ難キヲ堪へ忍ビ難キヲ忍ビ it looks like a sort of nominalizer as well. Would this be right? I wasn’t sure because the modern translation given [here](https://youtu.be/wDpieQDQU5I?si=i2nwGkrNiOaV8kt-&t=198) is: 堪え難くまた忍び難い思いをこらえ. Sorry for the fuzzy question.

  5. In the opening of the Haruhi anime, there’s this part:

    ホントが嘘に変わる世界で

    夢があるから強くなるのよ　誰の為じゃない

    This 誰の為じゃない kind of confuses me. Is it supposed to be read like “「誰の為？」じゃない”?

    For context, I asked my friend who went to Japan to help me buy manga but the one that I wanted weren’t available at the　本店　he went to I said f it and asked him to buy other manga + a light novel (this was the one I only knew about but didn’t saw it was vol 11 after he purchased it)

    Now I’m contemplating if I should just read it since Idk what happened in the previous vols

    is above sentence wrong or does adding のクラス after every language makes it correct. In genki audio they do add クラス after every language.

  9. Can someone help me understand the honorific vs normal versions of family titles? e.g. お父さん、父, etc. ?

    My understanding is that the first one (and variations) are used when addressing them directly, otherwise use the others?

  10. Hey guys! Does anybody know if I can get a digital library card (for Libby) from a japanese library if I’m based outside of Japan?

  11. Does anyone know where I can get a Genki II answer key (main book and workbook)?

    I was able to find Genki I on wayback machine but not II. I’d really rather not buy it.
