Good day everyone! I’m currently living here in Kagoshima to process everything that a Japanese needs (My Number, Hokensho, JP Bank Card/Book, etc).
A little background about me, I have lived
almost my entire life in the Philippines and since the living condition in that country has worsen I or rather we (My girlfriend and I) have decided to plan our future here in Japan. The benefits we get from having a kid (mostly the free eduction part or is it really free or?) and the idea of having to explore the country during day offs made us choose this option since I’m half Filipino half Japanese (I’ve chosen Japanese Citizenship when I was 21 but I get to keep both my passport since I was studying in the Philippines at that time and based on what I’ve read there is no Law that government will forcefully take your other passport)
I currently have a part time job here in our place to pay taxes so that I can prepare for the spousal visa to bring my future wife with me here in Japan.
My question would be:
- As a “returnee” Japanese what are the basic Identifications or Documents I need to get to live normally here in Japan? For now I only have these:
– Hokensho
– MyNumber
– JP Bank Card/Book
– JP Passport
-
In preparation for the future, What are the steps I need to bring my Filipina wife here in Japan?
-
I’ve read that there are benefits in having a child here in Japan for Japanese Citizen but as a “returnee” who has only been paying taxes for merely 3 months for now, am I eligible to get those benefits as well?
Thank you in advance to everyone who will answer and I hope you’ll have a great day today!
