I want to continue reading in Japanese for learning purposes, but there are still several books* i want to read in English/NL that i don't see myself reading in the language or are not available. The solution here would be to simply read more than one thing at a time, but as someone who is not used to reading multiple novels at once, i find the idea of rotating between books uncomfortable. I really appreciate the aspect of "immersion" in literature and i believe not focusing myself entirely on a single work would bring detachment and not allow me to commit fully to a single narrative. What should i do? Should i dedicate fully to just one thing or try balancing more than one? What do you guys do? For me, both options sound unpleasant and are bound to leave me unsatisfied.
*this post focuses on literature because it's my main interest in language learning, but i do go trough games and visual novels as well.
