I’ve been living in Japan for the past 7 years, and I have a 2.5 year old daughter who will start daycare in April. She’s a very active and playful child . She runs and jumps around like any normal toddler her age.
Recently, I received a complaint from our UR management regarding the noise. I do try to control her activities, but it’s obviously not possible to stop a toddler from moving around all the time.
I’m feeling a bit stressed and unsure how to handle this. Would it be appropriate to give a small gift or sweets to our downstairs neighbor as a gesture of apology? Or are there better ways to manage this situation in Japan?
I’d really appreciate any suggestions or advice from others who’ve experienced something similar.
