Hi! Does anyone know of places where English speakers can volunteer, or any free activities available? Preferably something that doesn’t involve too much physical activity. I’m also open to part-time work. My background is in analytics and low-code development, but I’m willing to try other types of work as well.
For context, I’m a cancer patient living alone in Tokyo since last year. My treatments are bi-weekly, but between treatments there are good days when I feel mostly okay. I have a work-from-home job that ends after lunchtime, so I have a lot of free time. I don’t really know many people, as I struggled to adjust after moving here while undergoing treatment. I can understand some Nihongo, but not enough to feel confident speaking it.
Sorry if this post is a bit weird. I just wanted to try posting because I really want to find a regular reason to go out more. For the past year, I’ve been living with anxiety and staying mostly indoors. Lately, I realized that I want to try to live more, instead of just trying to stay alive.
