Writing this from bed after somehow managing to reach the bottom of my Instagram feed which tells you how functional I am right now.
It’s my first time getting properly sick since moving here, and I honestly don’t remember ever feeling this wiped out, even back in the Covid days.
Symptoms are mostly intense fatigue, body aches, joint pain and this weird “cold from the inside” feeling. No major cough or runny nose. Went to a clinic, tested negative for influenza and got diagnosed with a generic viral infection.
Is this just a normal Japan winter thing?
Or is my immune system just not calibrated for whatever’s going around here?
Curious if anyone else has experienced something similar recently.
