  1. Most of the land held by “locals” are I square tsubu of land scattered all over the bases. Most of which is owned by mainland anti military types.

    I met a guy in Kinville once. He was just living life drinking and having a good time. Turns out his family, ultimately him, owned a good portion of Camp Hansen and the CTA. He loved the US military and never worked a day in his life living on the proceeds from the leases on the land! Said his kids and great grand kids would never have to work either!

  2. Are there any cases where the offending us marines/ military get trialed in a Japanese court?

  3. I landed in Okinawa and a couple of days this came out – was very useful in a context setting type of way.
