Hi all I have some questions about applying for spouse visa and COE. Because my research shows a lot of mixed information.
So we got married in Japan but apparently for COE you need a proof that your marriage is registered in your country as well. Is that necessary will the COE will be rejected if we just started the process but we don’t have a confirmation yet?
Also is COE really takes that long to receive? I saw some people waiting like 8moths and such.
Far as I’m concerned you can apply only now with a card reader so my spouse don’t need to be in Japan is that correct?
We are very tight with time so not sure we can get everything done before moving day.
Would it worth risking to switch from tourist visa to spouse visa?
Any help would be appreciated Also if there is a better group to post this please let me know
