Japanese language School Suggestions for Osaka/Kyoto?

I’m planning to head to Japan as an international student to study Japanese, and right now I’m looking at Osaka and Kyoto. Tokyo’s awesome, but honestly, the cost of living there just isn’t in my budget.

I’ve already looked at a couple of schools—Human Academy in Osaka and Kyoto Minsai. Both sound pretty solid from what I’ve read, but I’d really love to hear from people who’ve actually studied in Kansai. Any firsthand experiences or other recommendations would be super helpful.

Here’s what I’m after:

– Affordability: Schools with reasonable tuition or at least some good dorm options.

– Environment: I’m drawn to Osaka for the food and nightlife, but Kyoto’s culture looks tempting too.

– Support: I could really use a school that helps with part-time job hunting or just general student life stuff.

So far, my shortlist is:

– Human Academy (Osaka): I keep hearing they’re good for JLPT prep, but maybe a bit on the “corporate” side?

– Kyoto Minsai: Seems really community-focused and the area looks beautiful.

Has anyone actually attended either of these?

And if you have any thoughts on Osaka vs. Kyoto for long-term students, I’d love to hear those too.

Thanks so much for any help!
