Do I need to pay taxes for my parent’s allowance from abroad (400k JPY/month)?

Hello everyone! My father will be my financial sponsor whilst I'm studying at a language school. My monthly allowance, which should cover rent, utilities, and every day life, is estimated to be around 400k JPY.

Would this amount of money be considered a 'gift' and be subject to gift tax?
