Best PR route of the two, 10 year or spouse ?

The news about the huge increase has forced me to take action in hopes of saving so money. I doubt there's a difference but anyone know if there's a slight advantage of applying one way over the other?

I've been at my job in Saitama for just over 10 years but in Japan for 13, currently earning just under 4 mil a year ( 320~330k/month). Only 1 mil in bank but 2.5mil in my Nisa account.

Also been married for 3.5 years and have a 7 month old son as well as a 11 year old from her first marriage. We have a pair loan together for an apartment we bought together 2 years ago.

While my employer (shady guy) didnt pay my pension, health and all that for my first few years, the introduction of the MyNumber card way back forced his hand and he signed me up for ShakaiHoken since then. So I might have a year or two of missing payments but the last 5 or so are paid on time.

Edit: guess this was important but i switched to a spousal visa and its set to expire in 2027, but was a 3 year visa. Didnt switch after getting married and only bothered to switch when my work visa was nearing expiry date.
