hi, my friends and i (4 of us) are planning to visit japan in early december for a total of 8d7n. we've got most of the destinations planned out already- so far 6 out of the 7 nights are fine but we're having trouble deciding where we should spend the last unassigned night at out of all the destinations we're going.
itinerary:
day 1:
– arrive kansai intl airport in the morning, head to central osaka and buy some snacks and stuff for later on
– board hashidate express to amanohashidate stn at around 11am after having lunch
– arrive amanohashidate and check into hotel
– visit amanohashidate viewland
– have dinner then head back to hotel
day 2:
– breakfast at hotel
– ine bay daytrip
– take boat cruise around ine, lunch in ine
– return to amanohashidate
– chill around the area
– second night at hotel
day 3:
– breakfast at hotel
– if there's time, cycle along the amanohashidate sandbar
– check out of hotel, take train to kinosaki onsen
– lunch at kinosaki
– check into cheaper accommodation at kinosaki
– explore the town, walk in the evening
– soak in the famous baths
– dinner in kinosaki
– first night at kinosaki (cheap accommodation such as the bookstore)
day 4:
– breakfast at cafe
– check out of cheaper accommodation
– visit more of the baths
– kinosaki ropeway
– after lunch check into traditional ryokan
– visit even more baths and the ryokan's private bath
– kaiseki dinner in ryokan
– continue exploring kinosaki and its baths
– second night in kinosaki (traditional ryokan)
day 5:
– breakfast in ryokan
– explore more of the town
– check out of ryokan, visit the last few baths
– have lunch before taking express train back to osaka
– dinner in osaka central
– first night in airbnb at osaka
day 6:
– shopping in downtown osaka
– dotonbori
– explore osaka
– not planning to go USJ
– second night at airbnb at osaka
day 7:
– last shopping day
– explore osaka a little bit
– have big lunch at a restaurant in osaka
– head to airport and depart japan on evening flight
so we're looking for advice on which of the 3 destinations we should spend that additional night at.
alternatively, should we consider a new 4th destination for 1 night? any suggestions?
also how's the pace of the trip? any improvements?
