What is the name and origin of that song you hear at supermarkets and other places?

I used to live up north and heard it all the time at the Donki in the grocery section. I thought it was Donki specific, but I moved to Tokyo awhile ago and I hear it all over the place, usually at grocery stories but recently outside a pachinko parlor. It's very upbeat, I think it's a flute and it kind of sounds like it's leading a parade. Doot do dee doo do do do do! Kind of like that. I'd be very curious to know if it's just stock music that got popular or some kind of specific instrumental song.
