I need your help! Trying to find a kind person I met at the Ghibli Store (Kyoto, Ninenzaka) – March 2nd
Hi everyone, I’m posting this here because I really need the community's help. I’m leaving Kyoto soon and I’d hate to leave with this regret.
Today (March 2nd) around 5:00 PM at the Ghibli Store (Donguri Kyowakoku) in Ninenzaka, Kyoto, I had a very brief but special encounter.
You were wearing a long brown coat and white/grey New Balance sneakers
You first approached me to ask if I liked Ghibli. I was a bit shy and my English isn't great (as you probably noticed!), so I panicked a little: I didn't even give you my favorite Ghibli movie, and I couldn't even remember the correct English name for the one I mentioned! I felt so silly afterwards.
A few minutes later, I felt more comfortable and came back to ask you for advice on a gift for my sister. You were incredibly kind and helped me find a really nice small gift.
We said goodbye, but I realized afterwards that I really enjoyed our brief interaction despite my shyness and the language barrier. If you see this, or if anyone knows someone who was at the store today and fits this description, please reach out! I’d love to keep in touch and say hi properly.
