
Just as the title says. Family member was making homemade sushi with a cultural twist and I had a tiny bite, just a corner of a piece. It was ground up smoked herring on rice. What I wasn't aware of before that bite is that it wasn't cooked any further like I thought it'd be.
Im not a big sushi person in general, only eating the cooked varients when I go to restruants. Wanted to know what I should be prepped for, if anything happens at all. I know theres the basics like salmonella, but another family member said herring is uniquely full of parasites so I'm kinda at a loss for what to do.
