Hello all!
I am looking for a hospital to give birth at. My current clinic will give me a letter of introduction soon, but I am at a loss of where to go. My Japanese isn’t great, so an English friendly place would be preferred, but not required. I am also looking for a place that does epidurals without a scheduled induction date. I realize those are hard to come by. The ones I can find in my area that have that available don’t have the best reviews or don’t want foreign patients. Epidural options would be preferred, but again, not a requirement. I care more about how the doctors and nurses are.
I’ve looked into St Luke’s, but Tokyo is too far if something were to happen. Yokohama is closer to me.
I know Shonan Kamakura is English friendly, but I had a bad experience with their obgyn. They are a last resort for me as they are also a bit far from where I live.
Most birthing centers (especially those run by midwives) are out of the question due to my blood type (-) and age.
