A little while ago on YOU I saw an American family of 5 (3 kids, planning to make 7 total) who bought an akiya in a village in Niigata over the internet and were moving because of mostly gun violence at home, so they said. The guy had previously stayed in Niigata, and they showed a picture of him in a white shirt and tie on a beach. He said he was going to continue his 3D printer modelling business, but that seemed hardly visa worthy.
Now just today I saw elsewhere another Mormon family moving to Shiga with their five sprogs, again seemingly on a while family complete move.
Of course, two families doesn't make a trend, but I'm just curious if anyone else has seen similar stuff.
