A bit stuck for solutions. As I'm in Japan I have no way of accessing the account from UK (it has logged me out and no way of logging by phone no. verification – I should have known and even with a Japan number, this would be a new acc)
The hostel says they can't handle cash transactions and if fees crop up during delivery I have to be present myself as opposed to leaving them cash to hand over (it was worth a shot to ask…)
While that was fine to begin with I now have no way of tracking the parcel and when it arrives, is it possible a) they keep it stored in some warehouse to be claimed and I can make the payment then or b) the item is automatically returned to Taobao seller if unclaimed?
Of course it would be a miracle with no fees as that means the hostel would be able to retain it for me. But with fees, its a hard no.
What have been people's experiences ordering taobao stuff to Japan – do spiritual or tarot cards induces a tax?
There's no telling how Japan mailing times work, it seems like I'd have to let the item go rather than wasting even half days waiting for mail…?
Appreciate any help or advice – I really love these cards, but it would be very hard to get them shipped to the UK (AND PRICIER)
