So, bought a an ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop on november 2024 in Yodobashi, a month or so ago (few months after its warranty expired) suddenly the laptop stopped charging and I brought it back to yodobashi for repairs. 2 weeks later they called me back about them needing more time to asses the laptop but informed me that there's a problem with the motherboard.
Another week passed and Today they called me back, when talking about the condition of the laptop and said that the motherboard needs to be replaced, the staff on the other side of the phone said 31万 for the repairs. I thought that, oh I must've misheard, he probably said 3万。I said okay sure, but then he started asking "Are you sure? Because I think it's better to buy a new laptop" and I thought "huh" 3万 doesnt sound so bad so I asked again how much for the repairs and he really said 31万. WHAT? A 20万 laptop needed a motherboard and repairs worth 31万? Is this normal? Should I bring it to another repairshop? I told the staff that I needed to think for a bit and I'll call back. Any advice?
