PSP battery draining in under an hour – repair shop recommendations in Tokyo?

Hey everyone,

My PSP-3000 has a weird battery issue. It’s a brand new battery, but it drains extremely fast, less than an hour of gameplay.

Because of that, I’m starting to think the issue might be with the console itself, not the battery.

I already went to a repair shop to ask about it, but they told me the minimum labor fee would be around ¥8,000 just for inspection, without even replacing or repairing any components, which feels pretty expensive for such an old device.

Does anyone know a cheap/reliable shop around Akihabara or central Tokyo that could do a quick inspection or diagnosis for older handhelds like a PSP?

Ideally somewhere that doesn’t charge a high diagnostic fee and could just tell me whether the console is worth repairing.
