I'll be heading to Japan next week for 21 days from 21.03 – 10.04 and I'd like a second pair of eyes to double-check that I'm not trying to pack in too much stuff for each day. I know pacing at the start is a bit weird with some backtracking but I had to work around some fixed events like concerts and an anime convention, so I tried to make something that still worked.
Please share any feedback you may have as well as any suggestions for what to do on the last day (aside from wish the day would never end ðŸ˜)

Day 1: Asakusa
- Arrival 10:30 Narita
- Sensoji and some other shrines in the area (as I write this, I'm thinking of maybe doing Sensoji at night for less people and instead going to it in the morning of the last day for the goshuin. What do you think?)
- small shopping around Asakusa in the evening
- early sleep
Day 2: Asakusa
- Tsuta Rock Festival in Chiba (whole day)
Day 3: Shibuya
- morning walk around Ueno Park (depending on how I feel I might move this to day 20)
- shopping in Shibuya/Omotesando
- explore Shimokitazawa & concert at night
Day 4: Shibuya
- morning walk in Yoyogi Park & Meiji Jingu
- walk around some anime locations near Yoyogi
- ??? not much else planned, mainly a slow recovery day after the previous two. Maybe cafes or a bathhouse
Day 5: Nikko & Kinugawaonsen
- Overnight trip to Nikko/Kinugawa
- Toshogu shrine around lunch time
- head to ryokan in Kinugawaonsen in the evening
Day 6: Yokohama
- Travel to Yokohama
- Chinatown visit
- concert at night
Day 7: Yokohama
- explore Minato Mirai
- Iseyama Kotaijingu
- Chinatown at night
Day 8: Shibakoen
- back to Tokyo
- Zojo-ji & Hoshuin temples
- shopping in Ginza
- short walk around Tokyo Tower at night
Day 9: Shibakoen
- Yurikamome monorail to Odaiba
- AnimeJapan convention most of the day
- walk around Odaiba
Day 10: Kyoto, Arashiyama
- Shinkansen
- Tenryu-ji
- Shishiku Garden
- Togetsukyo Bridge (depends on time)
- Kimono forest at night
Day 11: Kyoto, Gion
- early Arashiyama Forest
- explore streets of Gion
- Philosopher's Path ending at Ginkakuji
Day 12: Kyoto, Gion
- anime pilgrimage at K-On school in Toyosato
- Hikone castle on the way back
Day 13: Kyoto, Gion
- early Fushimi Inari
- cherry blossom trees in Yodo
- Kennin-ji temple
- Pontocho at night
Day 14: Kyoto, Gion
- early Kyomizu-dera & Yasaka Pagoda
- day trip to Uj
Day 15: Osaka
- Denden town
- Shinsekai
- Dotonbori
- (might move Dotonbori to day 17)
Day 16: Osaka
- Super Nintendo World
Day 17: Osaka
- daytrip to Himeji castle
Day 18: Ueno
- Shinkansen back to Tokyo
- Chainsaw Man pilgrimage near Jimbocho
- Akihabara
Day 19: Ueno
- daytrip to Oarai for anime pilgrimage
Day 20: Ueno
- will probably do Ueno Park here
- Ono-Terusaki shrine (for the wonderful goshuin)
- Shinjuku & Omoide Yokocho at night
Day 21: Final day
- not sure what to do here yet, I think just exploring around
- maybe an early Senso-ji again just to see it with less people around
- head to Haneda around evening for flight home at 21:00
