Hey everyone! My mom and I are heading to Japan for the first time this May and I'd love some honest feedback,things to drop, swap, or add. We're both vegetarian, so any food tips are welcome too!
TOKYO May 17–22 (6 nights)
Day 1 (May 17): Arriving at 7 am, then Shinjuku Gyoen for a gentle start, Senso-ji Temple in the afternoon, and Tokyo Skytree in the evening.
Day 2 (May 18): I have a conference 8am–6pm, so my mom gets a slow solo morning to explore Asakusa. Planning to take her to teamLab Planets in Toyosu at 7–8pm , does this work as an evening slot or should I move it to another day?
Day 3 (May 19): Full day at Tokyo DisneySea.
Day 4 (May 20): Shibuya and Harajuku – Meiji Jingu Shrine, Takeshita Street, and wandering the backstreets.
Day 5 (May 21): Kawaguchiko day trip for Mt. Fuji views.
Day 6 (May 22): Nikko day trip – Tosho-gu Shrine, Kegon Falls, Sacred Bridge, cedar forest walks.
KYOTO May 23–29 (6 nights)
Day 7 (May 23): Afternoon at Tenryu-ji garden and the hidden Otagi Nenbutsu-ji. Evening Gion district walk and dinner at Pontocho Alley.
Day 8 (May 24): Early morning at Arashiyama Bamboo Grove before the crowds, then Tenryu-ji Zen garden, Fushimi Inari, and Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion.
Day 9 (May 25): Nara day trip
Day 10 (May 26): Himeji day trip
Day 11 (May 27): Osaka Day 1- Osaka Castle, Kuromon Ichiba Market for lunch, Dotonbori at night.
Day 12 (May 28): Osaka Day 2 – Shinsekai retro district, Shinsaibashi shopping arcade, Amerika-mura vintage.
Day 13 (May 29): Afternoon in Yanaka and Ueno Park.
Day 14 (May 30): Harry Potter Studio Tour in the morning, then some shopping and exploring in Tokyo.

Few Question:
Do you think this is too hectic and maybe i should remove few places
Any must visit places where i should go?
Also i think since i feel i can skip one of the day trips or keep osaka to one day and spend one more day in Kyoto/Tokyo.
I also thought of Visiting Kobe but it will be too much if i try including it in this plan. should i swap it with some place or is this a good itinerary for first trip?
