LF Kanazawa castle information

Hi everyone,

We're planning a trip to Japan in April and starting with Kanazawa for our first two full days.

Here was the plan:

Day 1

• Kenrokuen Garden
• Kanazawa Castle
• Higashi Chaya District
• Nagamachi Samurai District

Day 2

• Day trip to Shirakawa-go

However, a friend told me that Kanazawa Castle might currently be under renovation or covered in scaffolding.

Is that true? If so, would you recommend adjusting this itinerary?

Also, we'll likely be pretty jet-lagged coming from Canada, so I’m assuming we’ll be up very early in the morning. Are any of these spots good to visit super early, or do most of them only really open later in the day?

Otherwise, any suggestion we could add that fits this schedule?
