My first Home-akase

Still continuing my sushi journey of being better at making sushi! I planned a full 15 course omakase for 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We don’t even do all the courses cause we were so full!

  1. Started off with the rice crackers in as soon as you walked in the house. Negitoro and salmon with sesame on top of Bin bin rice crackers.

  2. Salmon nigiri brushed with soy sauce, topped with ikura and green onion.

  3. Torched salmon topped with kewpie drizzle, then soy sauce and roasted sesame seeds.

  4. Tri-color gunkan. Tobiko and Masago. Topped with infused soy sauce.

  5. I tried making a pretty shiso display but it did not survive the full service.

  6. Deep sea red crab nigiri with the infused soy sauce.

7 & 8. Hand rolls! Salmon, avocado, cucumber. Negitoro, avocado, cucumber

9 & 10. Torched chutoro brushed with soy and topped with uni and ikura.

  1. Tamago nigiri with nori belt.

I watched so many videos about making sushi. My tezu did not work out. So far, just using water had been better to make the rice not stick to my hands. Any advice on this?
