Hi Japan Travelers,
I am going with a group of six to Japan in mid-October. We have three nights in Takayama after arriving from Tokyo. So, I have planned a day to spend in the Alps with Takayama as our base. Kamikochi should be very nice that time of year, hopefully with some autumn color. One in my group saw the awesome looking Shinhotaka Ropeway for a high view. While I would like to do both, it seems too much to reasonably do in one day. So, I’m thinking of spending the time walking and exploring Kamikochi for the best and more relaxed mountain experience. I tend to want to overplan and try to do it all. What are your thoughts on one of the other or both?
Thanks!
