We we’re planning to do the river boat ride after the Sagano Train in Kyoto this coming week. Please tell us pros and cons of the ride if we will only be there for 3 days.
I did it a few years ago during the fall and it was a lot of fun. That being said, it is a bit far from other stuff, so you’re going to be limited to that and maybe some other arashiyama activities for that day. If you’re in that area anyway, I do recommend, as it is not that expensive, but it gives you a view of nature you rarely get to see otherwise. The guides make it very entertaining
The area is beautiful and I can imagine how even more beautiful it is when there are cherry blossoms or fall foliage. Right now a lot of trees are bare but if you have extra time and a nice weather, it’s a nice to do.

It takes around 2 hours and it’s easy to access
