I am currently building a new home with Ichijo. The water pipe from the roadside to our home is over 30 years old and it will be replaced by a sub-contractor of Ichijo. The cost for this work is over 1M yen. I didn't check that much about the terms and conditions before. But recently when I checked with them, they only provide a 6 month warranty for this work.
Can anyone who constructed a home provide some advice?

Did you visit and supervise the entire work they did? Ichijo guy says they will not provide any detailed reports with photos etc., of the work after they complete. Should I just receive the invoice and trust they did their work properly?

Did you receive a longer warranty for such work?
Any other inputs on this?
