Hello, I have a question about passport extension in Japan, specifically Netherlands, but it's probably the same for most EU passports.
My passport will expire soon but my residence card (work visa) still has years left on it.
Is it a problem if you go past your passport expiration date, but still have a valid recidence card? As long as you don't leave the country.
It's just that, I have to go to Tokyo to get a new passport and this is not an easy thing for me job wise and financially. Obviously I will have to at some point. But I would just like to know. Thank you.
